PTU Tutorial - Viva El Rock

~Supplies Needed~
Tube of choice
Scrapkit used was Viva El Rock made by Sandy's Design which can be purchased from here
If you do not have this scrapkit please feel free to use another one with similar elements
Tag Template 190 made by Kristin which can be downloaded from here
Vix Big Mask (My fave) which can be downloaded from here

Let's Get Started
Open Kristin's template in psp - image - canvas size - 850 x 750 - fill raster 1 layer with white - delete the credits layer
On the large circle layer go to selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - copy & paste frame 2 as a new layer - resize so that it fits nicely around the circle layer - add a drop shadow
Merge together the blue rounded rectangle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 3 - fill the original layer with a colour from your tube - adjust - add/remove noise - 60% - add a drop shadow
Merge together the pink square layers - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 3 - fill the original layer with a colour from your tube - adjust - add/remove noise - 60% - add a drop shadow
Merge together the black square layers - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 3 - fill the original layer with a colour from your tube - adjust - add/remove noise - 60% - add a drop shadow
Merge together the dark pink rectangle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 3 - fill the original layer with a colour from your tube - adjust - add/remove noise - 60% - add a drop shadow
Merge together the large blue rectangle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 3 - fill the original layer with a colour from your tube - adjust - add/remove noise - 60% - add a drop shadow
Copy & paste the filmstrip as a new layer - with your magic wand select the middle of each frame - selections - modify - expand by 4 - add a new raster layer & move it below the frame layer - fill with a gradient choosing 2 colours from your tube - angle 45 - repeats 3 - selections - none
With your magic wand again select the middle of the far left frame - selections - modify - expand by 4 - copy & paste your tube as a new layer - position - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - repeat this for the other 3 frames - merge together all your tubes - duplicate - on the original change the blend mode to Luminance (L) - on the duplicate go to adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 3.00 - change the blend mode to screen - reduce the opacity to around 80% - effects - plugins - penta.com - color dot
Back on the filmstrip layer go to selections - all - float - defloat - add a new raster layer & move it below the frame layer - selections - modify - expand by 3 - fill with white - selections - none - adjust - add/remove noise - same settings as earlier - add a drop shadow
Copy & paste both the fire as new layers - position them so that they run along the bottom of the filmstrip (see my tag) - if they do not reach the other end, duplicate & position - when i position my 2nd fire layer i moved it slightly to the right - merge together - add a drop shadow
Hide all your layers apart from your gradient layer, tube layers, filmstrip layer, noise layer & the flames layers - merge these layers together - unhide layers - duplicate - position the
top one to the top right & the bottom one to the bottom left
Copy & paste your main tube as a new layer - position - duplicate - on the original go to selections - all - float - defloat - selections - modify by 2 - add a new raster layer & move it below the tube layers - fill with white - apply the same noise settings as earlier - selections - none - add a drop shadow
On the duplicate tube go to adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 3.00 - change the blend mode to screen - reduce opacity to liking
Copy & paste any elements from the scrapkit you are using as new layers - position - i added a small gradient glow to mine - add drop shadows
Add a new raster layer above the background layer - fill with your gradient - layers - new mask from image - apply Vix Big Mask - merge group
Add your name with your font - position - apply the same noise settings as earlier - i also added a gradient glow to mine - add a drop shadow
Also add some words with the same settings
Don't forget to add the artists correct copyrite - crop & save tag and you are done!
