PTU Tutorial - Bite Me



For this tutorial i am using the amazing artwork by @Ismael Rac

~Supplies Needed~
Tube of choice
Scrapkit used was Fangtasia made by Kristin which can be purchased from here
If you do not have this scrapkit please feel free to use another one with similar elements
Tag Template 218 also made by Kristin which can be downloaded from here
Vix Big Mask (My fave) which can be downloaded from here

Eye Candy 4 - Gradient Glow
Screenworks - Dot Screen

~Font used~
Vorvolaka Regular

Let's Get Started

Open Kristin's template in psp - image - canvas size - set to 850 x 750 - fill the background layer with white - delete the credits layer

Copy & paste frame 2 as a new layer - resize by 80% - on the circle layer of the template go to selections - all - float - defloat - fill with black - selections - none - back on the frame layer select the middle with your magic wand - selections - modify - expand by 6 - copy & paste your tube as a new layer - move below the frame layer - duplicate 2 times & position them inside the frame so that they fill it 



Selections - invert - on each tube layer hit delete - selections - none - merge together your tube layers - duplicate - on the original change the blend mode to Luminance (L) - on the duplicate go to adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 3.00 - change the blend mode to soft light - effects - plugins - Screenworks - Dot Screen

Add a drop shadow to the frame

Copy & paste the Bite Me wordart as a new layer - resize by 90% - effects - plugins - Eye Candy 4 - Gradient Glow - set the glow width to 3.00



Add a drop shadow

Merge together the small green circle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - add a new raster layer - choosing 2 colours from your tube - set your colour pallette to gradient - angle 45 - repeats 3 - fill your new layer with your gradient - copy & paste your tube as a new layer - resize to liking - position in the right circle - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - none - duplicate - image - mirror - image - flip - merge together - duplicate - on the original change the blend mode to Luminance (L) - on the duplicate go to adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 3.00 - change the blend mode to soft light - effects - texture effects - blinds



Delete the original circle layer & add a drop shadow to the noise layer

On the dark green rectangle layer go to selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 3 - fill the original layer with a colour from your tube - adjust - add/remove noise - 60% - add a drop shadow

On the grey rectangle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 3 - fill the original layer with a colour from your tube - adjust - add/remove noise - 60% - add a drop shadow

On the green circle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 3 - fill the original layer with a colour from your tube - adjust - add/remove noise - 60% - add a drop shadow

On the light green rectangle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 3 - fill the original layer with a colour from your tube - adjust - add/remove noise - 60% - add a drop shadow

On the dark grey rectangle layers - selections - all - float - defloat - copy & paste a paper as a new layer - selections - invert - hit delete - selections - invert - selections modify - expand by 3 - fill the original layer with a colour from your tube - adjust - add/remove noise - 60% - add a drop shadow

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer - duplicate - adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 3.00 - change the blend mode to soft light & reduce the opacity to liking - on the original layer go to selections - all - float - defloat - selections - modify - expand by 2 - add a new raster layer & move it below the tube layer - fill with white - selections - none - adjust - add/remove noise - 60% - add a drop shadow

Copy & paste any elements from the scrapkit you are using as new layers - position them around your tag - i also applied the same Gradient Glow as earlier to make them stand out - add drop shadows

With your font add your name - position - adjust - add/remove noise - 50% - apply the same gradient glow but change the colours to black - add a drop shadow

Add a new raster layer above your background layer - fill with a colour from your tube - layers - new mask from image - apply Vix's mask - merge group

Don't forget to add the artists correct copyrite - crop & save tag and you are done!
